This section is to give a brief overview over some other interesting ProSteel 3D functions.

• Manipulations
  There is not enough space in this brochure to list all manipulation options of ProSteel 3D in their entirety. Basically, every modification that can be carried out on a real shape can also be carried out within the software.

• Search Function
  This makes it possible to search a model for all types of criteria – e.g., gusset plates with a thickness of 8 mm, all shapes with the size IPE160, or all DIN 6914 screws.

• Layer Management
  ProSteel 3D has a freely configurable and automatic layer management function, which can be adjusted by the user at any time.

• Collision Monitoring
  This may be activated for the entire model or only a select few building components. The minimum collision volume in mm³ is freely definable. The collision monitoring does not only consider shape radii but also the required assembly clearance of the bolts and screws.

• Weigthcenter Calculation
  The center of gravity of many elements – no matter whether it is a shape, building group, or the entire construction project – can be calculated with this function. It will return position and coordinates of the center of gravity.

• Shaded Display
  Working with several thousand components that are hidden, covered, shaded, or rendered is made possible by optimizing the internal algorithms (see MDI capabilities).
