A function is also available to generate standard haunches automatically. This function can generate a wide variety of haunches interactively by selecting the corresponding shapes.

The haunch can either be a sheet metal construction – upper/lower flange and web plate – or an uneven shape with the ribs attached at the same time. The tapered design of a haunch is possible as well.

The taper width may be entered into the dialog box as a value, or determined automatically by selecting the shape. In addition, this function can also be used to construct a supporting girder (joist).
