| With
ProSteel 3D, it is possible to define special
shapes shaped any way desired by defining the
cross-section area. These can also be saved in
very convenient and separate catalogues. Loading,
placing, and managing is then performed similarly
to the standard shapes. |
 |
Up to 3 display levels are
available for these special shapes
(low/normal/high). The display level can be
changed during the construction without loss of
information. Thus, even highly complex shape
cross-sections are easy to handle. |

The following points describe the
process of defining a special shape:
Draw a simple polyline or
import existing geometry. Many shape
vendors supply DWG or DXF files of their
shapes.
ProSteel 3D generates the
most important insertion points
automatically. As many freely definable
insertion points as desired are available
to the user.
Save
the shape under a new name in one of the existing
or a new shape catalog
