Standard Shapes

ProSteel 3D has more than 30 shape indexes with approx. 1800 standardized shape sizes.

These are shape databases, which can be expanded easily by the user to include additional intermediate sizes or entire shape catalogues supplied by various vendors/manufacturers.

A clearly organized dialog box provides the user with full control over the insertion method and insertion point right from the start when the shape is being selected.

Any rarely utilized shape series can be filtered from the display.

In addition to the most common European standards, ProSteel 3D also supports additional international standards that are of importance to the global market.

You have the following options when inserting a shape:

• Line
  Insert shape along a line

• 2 Points
  Insert shape via two points

• 3 Points
  Insert shape via three points 
  (third point = angle of rotation)

• Angle
  Insert shape into cross-section with specified length and set angle
