The Transition from V16.XX to V17.XX

Course Outline


Duration: 4 day

Pre-Requisite: ProSteel 3D 16.xx – overall working experience.

Objective: This class is designed for Users of ProSteel 3D who want to familiarize themselves with what is new in versions 17.0/17.1

Please note that 80% of the software has been rewritten including redesigned dialog boxes with tool tips and displays. Many of the existing functions have been enhanced and many new functions and concepts have been added.

  • Shape description

  • Shape insertion
  • Templates (i.e. copes, workframes etc.)

  • Styles and symbols for, bolts, welds, elevations
  • Connections
  • Bolting
  • Welding
  • Shape manager for user defined shapes
  • Positioning and position flags
  • B.O.M. report generator (new formats), group containment report
  • Search, filter, compare and viewing tools
  • DetailCenter and DetailStyles for drawing production
  • Tips, Tricks and shortcuts (double click entry, calculator, etc…)
  • Help (command reference).

    The last two days will be dedicated to detail styles, 2D drawing production and Hands on exercise.
